FORT BENNING - The Fort Benning public affairs office says soldier in basic training has been shot at a small arms firing range on post.
The post said the soldier, assigned to the 199th Infantry Brigade, received non-life-threatening injuries in Monday's incident. The soldier was not identified.
The post's Criminal Investigation Division is investigating and Bob Purtiman, public affairs officer, said more information will be available when the investigation is completed.
