Savannah Elks Lodge Exalted Ruler Ton Mulvaney recently presents a check for $1,000 to Stacy Faison of the Savannah VA Outpatient Clinic, Matasha Mells of the Department of Veterans Affairs and Irena Raagas of the Savannah Primary Care Clinic in support of area homeless veterans.

Rahn completes basic training

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Cameron C. Rahn graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Rahn is the son of Angel Smith of Midway and a 2017 graduate of Liberty County High School in Midway.
