Placeholder Image
The Fort Stewart Enlisted Spouses’ Club is taking applications for the Rita Ackerman Scholarship to be awarded to the spouse of an enlisted soldier, either active, retired or deceased. This is a memorial to Rita Ackerman, a former member of the club.
A selection committee will award the scholarship based on academic records, transcripts, letters of recommendation, volunteer activities and an essay written by the applicant — not financial need.
Applicants must be the spouse of an enlisted soldier, live in the Fort  Stewart/Hunter AAF area and have graduated high school or possess a GED certificate. Applications are at area colleges, and the Fort Stewart library and education center. Completed packets must be postmarked by 1 April to be eligible for consideration
