Expect busy skies through Nov. 4

There will be more than normal fixed wing and rotary aircraft flights in the area beginning for the next two weeks. Fort Stewart Public Affairs said that an exercise, Bold Quest 16.2 Coalition Capability Demonstration and Assessment, starts Monday and lasts until Nov. 4. "Some of the aircraft maneuvers may be noticeably louder and lower in altitude than the normal day-to-day operations at Fort Stewart, Townsend Bombing Range, Wright Army Air Field, Hunter Army Air Field, and Savannah International Airport," the release said.

Rahn completes basic training

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Cameron C. Rahn graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Rahn is the son of Angel Smith of Midway and a 2017 graduate of Liberty County High School in Midway.
