Fort Stewart announces Monday prescribed burn

Fort Stewart’s Forestry Branch will be burning in the following training areas Monday:

1.   E19, 2,351 acres, Helicopter burn. Area is 17 miles northwest of Building 1 and 15.5 miles northwest of Lawson fire tower. Flames will not be visible from Highway 144 or Highway 119. Predicted winds are west at 8-12 mph.
