Chief Petty Officer Sergio E. Morrison recently was promoted during a ceremony in Sasebo, Japan.

Morrison is the son of Mirna Morrison of Liberty County. He graduated from Bradwell Institute in 1994 and enlisted in the Navy afterward.

Morrison attended Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal M.I. Church in Hinesville.
