SAVANNAH -- The military-to-civilian recruiting firm RecruitMilitary will present a free hiring event for job seekers who have military backgrounds in the Savannah area Aug. 7. The career fair will take place from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Econo Lodge, formerly the Sans Hotel and Suites, in Hinesville. RecruitMilitary urges all job seekers who have military backgrounds to attend - veterans who already have civilian work experience, men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves, and military spouses.
The event will be the 61st of 104 RecruitMilitary career fairs scheduled for 2008. RecruitMilitary also will produce events in Atlanta on Oct. 29 and in Jacksonville, Fla., on Nov. 13.
In Hinesville, more than 25 veteran-friendly organizations will conduct one-on-one interviews with the job seekers - organizations will include corporate employers, law-enforcement agencies and other government employers, educational institutions, veterans service agencies and veterans associations. Already in the lineup are American Intercontinental University, ASG Renaissance, Carolina Handling, the Central Intelligence Agency, CSX, the Dallas Police Department , the Department of the Army, DeVry University, Duke Energy Corporation, Fluor Corporation, the Internal Revenue Service, Liberty Tax Service, Lockheed Martin Corporation, Loomis, Memorial Health University Medical Center, Military Sealift Command, the Military Spouse Corporate Career Network, Northrop Grumman Technical Services, Oldcastle Architectural Products Group, Priority Solutions, South Carolina Department of Corrections, the Tacoma Police Department, The Home Depot and the Veterans Benefits Administration.
