Walker Middle School and Long County High School have planned special activities Monday to honor veterans.

At 8:30 a.m. the middle school will host its annual “Breakfast With A Vet.” All active-duty service members and veterans are invited to eat breakfast at the school for free. The Wildcats encourage family members of deployed soldiers to attend the breakfast on their behalf and eat with the children.

On Monday afternoon, Long County High School invites veterans and active-duty personnel to attend its annual Veterans Day celebration.

Each attendee will be recognized during the ceremony, and all family members also are invited. The ceremony begins at 1:45 p.m. in Blakely Thornton Gymnasium.
