FORT BENNING — More than 100 Fort Benning soldiers are signing up for more time in the Army — and they're doing it all at once.

Fort Benning's commander, Maj. Gen. Robert B. Brown, is scheduled to administer the re-enlistment oath to the large group of troops during a ceremony Tuesday.

Fort Benning officials said 113 soldiers were expected to participate in the mass re-enlistment at the west Georgia Army post in Columbus.

It's one of the Army's main training centers, with a unit dedicated to new recruits undergoing basic training, as well as the home of the Army schools that train its tank crews and elite Rangers.

The Army's 75th Ranger Regiment is based at Fort Benning, as is the 3rd Brigade Combat Team of the 3rd Infantry Division.
