Soldiers honored for helping motorist

Two soldiers from 3rd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, will be recognized at a ceremony at 4 p.m. Friday at Caro Gym on Fort Stewart in honor of their actions assisting a motorist on May 28.
The soldiers, Pfc. Joshua Brumit and Pfc. John Morris, will be recognized at a coin and citations presentation in front of the battalion headquarters for their efforts on May 28 to assist a stranded motorist. The female driver had pulled over when her father, a passenger in her vehicle, became unconscious.

Rahn completes basic training

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Cameron C. Rahn graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Rahn is the son of Angel Smith of Midway and a 2017 graduate of Liberty County High School in Midway.
