NAACP to host mass meeting Monday
Candidates, officials and public invited to Dorchester

The Liberty County NAACP is holding a Community Mass Meeting on Monday, March 2 at the Historic Dorchester Academy, 8787 E. Oglethorpe Hwy, Midway, GA  31320.  

Topics for discussion include the Liberty County legislative agenda, economic sustainability, tax relief, policies, investment in the local community, board appointments, 2020 Census equal representation and district lines, according to an NAACP announcement.                                                                                             

A formal letter of invitation has been sent to all candidates of the 2020 Liberty County Offices Election.  

“It is our hope the candidates will accept our invitation to attend and participate in the discussion,” the NAACP announcement said. 

Liberty NAACP President Graylan Quarterman said, “this year, 2020 is critical in numerous areas, it is vital to have discourse on the local level in these areas, as well.”

A new voting machine demonstration is scheduled at the same location from 4:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m. Monday. 

This public event is all inclusive, all are invited and welcomed to attend.
