National Day of Prayer to be held at Bradwell Park
National Day of Prayer

Hinesville and Liberty County will mark the National Day of Prayer on May 4 at noon at Bradwell Park.

Bishop Kevin L. Betton Sr., president of the United Ministerial Alliance of Liberty County, will lead the event. This year’s theme is “Pray Fervently in Righteousness and Avail Much!”

Pastor Kendall Paige of Immanuel Christian Church will deliver the opening remarks and the welcome, and the Play Datez Child Development Center will sing “God Bless America,” followed by Pastor Aaron Cowart of Live Oak Church.

Rev. Tony Caldwell, pastor of Hinesville First United Methodist Church, will lead the prayer for schools and children. Pastor A.D. Shaw of Full Gospel Tabernacle COGIC will lead the prayer for the military.

Rev. Hermon Scott, pastor of Baconton Missionary Baptist Church, will lead the prayer for the community, and Tommy Crutchfield, pastor of Life United Pentecostal Church, will lead the prayer for the nation.

Transition recognition will be given by Pastor Richard Hayes of New Day Community Church, and Rashaad Wright of Forerunner’s Revival Hub Ministry will have a patriotic selection.

Bishop Betton of Cathedral of Praise Church Ministries will deliver the benediction.

The event is free and open to the public.
