Fellowship of Love Worship Center hosted Grammy winning gospel recording artist, actor and Bishop Marvin Winans on June 21.
Winans is the fourth child of the iconic gospel-singing, Detroit-born Winans family and has made a career for himself after being discovered by gospel giant Andrae Crouch.
This wasn’t the bishop’s first visit to Liberty County.
Winans said he was delighted to be back in Coastal Georgia and was partial to the area.
Before his sermon, Winans said, “I pray there will be a movement of God and that lives will be changed. The Bible states wherever the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. And, being in Liberty County, my prayer is that the spirit of the Lord moves and folks will be free.”
Fellowship of Love Pastor Larry Murray said though the church has hosted many greats and planned to continue, he was particularly excited to have a Winans in the city because he knows the Church of God in Christ.
Having Winans in our city is most certainly something that won’t be forgotten by me.
