One person has been displaced after their mobile home was damaged by an early Thursday morning fire July 1.

According to Hinesville Fire Department Public Information Officer Alex Mason, units were dispatched to the Shady Oaks mobile home park located on the 1100 block of West Oglethorpe Highway to an active fire shortly after 8:30 a.m.

Mason said the home on lot 18 had visible flames and light smoke emitting from the residence. Firefighters quickly gained entry into the kitchen area of the home and had the fire quickly under control within minutes. The fire is currently under investigation and no injuries were reported.
