Cool weather just around the corner

Hello, everyone. Tight Line Jr. here, and I just can’t wait until the fall weather rolls around. It was Ol’ Tight Line’s favorite time of year to go fishing — mine, too. Looks like we should start moving toward cooler temperatures in the near future, and I’m prepping the lines and bait.

Just wanted to let y’all know it has been nearly one year since my parents passed away, and I would like to take this time to thank all the people I work with. If not for these folks, I don’t think I would have made it through the past year. You all took me in and made me feel like family. Thank you to all the people at Fort Stewart who I work with. It’s such a great feeling to go to work on post with all the men and women who serve our great country.

I will be back next week with some good old fishing stories, but in the meantime, here is where you can pick up some fishing supplies.

Rayburn at Yellow bluff said he is still open and selling live bait. The Sunbury Crab Company and Marina has live shrimp and minnows. Halfmoon Marina has live shrimp. Big Rudy at The Sunbury Country Store has frozen shrimp, squid, ballyhoo and cigar minnows.

So remember what Ol’ Tight Line always said: Get out there and go fishing and, if you do, always remember to keep a tight line. I always say hit the dock, keep a sharp eye and watch that cork go down. Until next time, do me a favor — get out there and wet a hook. It’s good for you.

Your buddy,

Tight Line Jr.
