Coastal Georgia residents are invited to a double-barreled public hearing in Brunswick on Jan. 5 to discuss Department of Natural Resources plans for changes in both hunting regulations and land management.

The 7 p.m. meeting Wednesday at the College of Coastal Georgia Auditorium, 3700 Altama Ave. in Brunswick, seeks input on the DNR’s consideration of regulations for the next two hunting seasons.

More information is available at gohuntgeorgia.com.

The land-management portion of the hearing will deal with the report of a 28-member committee named in 2009 to consider the fees, names and marketing of the state’s parks, historic sites, wildlife management areas and public fishing areas.

The 24-page report is available at georgiawildlife.com.
