Hearings on hunting laws

The Georgia DNR, WRD will hold three public hearings to receive input on proposed changes to the hunting regulations for the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 seasons. The public hearings are scheduled for Tuesday in Newnan, Wednesday Cordele and Thursday in Jasper.
Some of the proposed changes WRD will address include the need to increase either sex days for white-tailed deer population management purposes and expand Georgia counties open to bear hunting,  
Those unable to attend the hearings may submit written statements, prior to the close of business on May 9, 2007. Statements should be mailed to:
