No shortage of whiting in waters

Howdy, friends and fishermen. Tight Line Jr. here. Ol’ Tight Line says hello to everyone.

Here are some fishing reports from around our waters.

Daniel and David Fennel netted 45 whiting.

Capt. Jake Horton and Nat Branson landed 19 trout, 10 spot tail bass and six whiting.

Ken Ferrell and Joe Jackson caught 25 whiting deck side.

Dean Harris, Wynielle Moore and Larry Gaddy landed 60 whiting, 15 summer trout and a 12-pound black drum. Sounds like a backyard get-together to me.

By the way, Sunbury Crab Company and Marina has live shrimp and minnows and fresh refrigerated bait fish. While you’re there, pick up a basket of fried oysters and make a day out of fishing and eating.

Yellow Bluff has live shrimp and minnows and fresh bait and Halfmoon Marina has live shrimp.

I would like to know what all the fishermen think about only being able to purchase your license online. Let me know your thoughts.

Remember what Ol’ Tight Line says and get out there and get fishing. And if you do, always remember to keep a tight line.

I always say hit the docks, keep a sharp eye and watch the cork go down.

Your friend,

Tightline Jr.
