Fall is in full swing and outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to do on the Georgia coast in the coming weeks. Bring family and friends and enjoy one of the following events:

Coastal geocaching

What: Take part in a fun-filled weekend hosted by the Georgia Geocachers Association. Hunt for treasure, play games, listen to music and win prizes.

The Debatable Land Autumn Encampment

What: A wide range of living history presentations will highlight various cultures and people who inhabited our region long before Georgia was established in 1733. A battle reenactment will take place at 2 p.m.

When: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13

Where: Fort King George Historic Site in Darien

Trail of Hope ’10

What: Run a 5K through the beautiful trails of Skidaway Island State Park. Come for the race and stay for the picnic, benefiting Covenant Care Adoptions. Register online at www.active.com.

When: 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13

Where: Skidaway Island State Park in Savannah

Cost: Race registration is $25 until Nov. 10; $30 from Nov. 11 until race day. Parking is $5.

"Come and Take It!" Revolutionary War Encampment

What: This American Revolution encampment commemorates Col. John McIntosh’s defiant reply to a British demand for surrender. Enjoy colonial demonstrations, musket and cannon drills, a small skirmish and more. Interpreters in historical attire will represent a variety of colonial life.

When: 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20
