Hello friends and fellow fishermen, Ol' Tight Line here. I guess by now you heard the news about the Liberty Fest Fishing Tournament, where they named me an honorary captain.
If you register early you pay only $45, late fees are $55 so be sure to come to the captains meeting on July 18 at the Sunbury Crab Co. to get all the information.
In the meantime there are some fishing reports to give you from around our coastal area. Let me start by saying that Yellow Bluff and Half Moon Marinas have plenty of live shrimp for fishing.
Joe and Matt Fanning, along with Donald Durn, landed 17 trout and a Spanish mackerel they caught with live shrimp. A fellow named Randy caught two spottail bass, one was 23-inches long the other was 22-inches. He also landed a three-pound trout.
So friends, go out there and get fishing. If you do, always remember to keep a tight line.

Your buddy,
Ole’ Tight Line.

Hey folks, Tight Line Jr. here. The dock tour was short but sweet this week. Boo Hall and junior landed four spottail bass. They were average size, roughly 20-inches each. They also caught six black drums, two black sea bass and one nice sized croaker.
Get out there and wet a hook. Remember to keep a sharp eye and watch that cork go down.

Your buddy,
Tight Line Jr.
