HAILEY, Idaho Toni Marcroft was driving on a highway near her hometown of Hailey, Idaho, when she came across a traffic delay caused by a herd of elk. With a line of cars stopped in front of her, she recorded the ensuring action with her phone and about 2.5 million people have now viewed the clip.

According to a report from the Idaho Statesman, Marcrofts footage was shared by a Facebook page called Hailey Idaho. From there, the short video went viral and attracted comments from around the world. It has been shared more than 47,000 times.

In the 50-second video, several large bulls are seen crossing the highway. When they reached a fence on the other side, some of the elk appeared reluctant to jump over it. This caused some viewers to wonder if the weight of the bulls antlers would prevent them from clearing the hurdle.

But once the mighty animals made up their minds, they bounded over the fence with effortless grace.

Some commenters on the Facebook post wondered why there were so many bulls and so few females in the herd, but the Hailey Idaho moderator responded with a comment explaining that a large number of female elk had crossed the road just prior to the video being taken.
