Convenience Store News recently honored Parker’s with the 2018 Convenience Foodservice Leader of the Year Award at the Convenience Foodservice Exchange Conference in Dallas.
Don Longo, editorial director of Convenience Store News, celebrated Parker’s President and CEO Greg Parker for “the great strides you’ve made expanding the Parker’s Kitchen concept to more stores and providing a fresh, great-tasting menu to your customers.”
“It’s a tremendous privilege for the Parker’s team to be honored by the convenience store industry for our commitment to foodservice,” Parker said. “We handcraft our food from the freshest ingredients and take pride in cooking for the communities where we live and work. This national award affirms that our team’s hard work is paying off, as we continue to meet the changing needs of today’s convenience store customer.”
“I truly believe that foodservice is the future of the convenience store industry,” he added. “Ultimately, I want Parker’s to be known as a foodservice company that sells convenience, rather than a convenience store company that sells food.”
Parker’s has been ranked on Inc.’s elite list of the top 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. for four consecutive years. Parker has been honored by Convenience Store News as the Tech Executive of the Year, by the Savannah Chamber of Commerce as the Entrepreneur of the Year and by the Frank Callen Boys and Girls Club as the Citizen of the Year.
Headquartered in Savannah, Parker’s operates 53 convenience stores across Georgia and South Carolina and employs nearly 1,000 individuals throughout the region.
