Approximately 249 students officially graduated from Liberty County High School during a carline ceremony held Saturday, May 23, 2020 at the school. Diplomas were conferred by LCHS Principal Debra Frazier with Liberty County School Superintendent Dr. Franklin Perry and other administrators and teachers there to cheer on the graduates, whose traditional graduation ceremony was put on hold to July 18 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As of its public grand opening, Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America directly employs a few more than 1,200 people, and the promised total of 8,500 jobs at the main plant and its five onsite suppliers is expected to be realized by 2031.
