The Coastal Georgia Minority Chamber hosted the dedication and ribbon cutting Oct. 19 for the Pinehill Lighthouse Residence, Inc.

Built in the 1940s in Midway, today the Pinehill Lighthouse Residence, Inc. serves as a Mission House for Pastors can reside while on the road. So, when you visit or reside at the Pinehill Lighthouse Residence, you will get to enjoy a lighthouse that’s right on the property as well as experience a sense of peace and serenity.

At the dedication, children of the original owners were present to share stories from their childhood and fond memories of their father, who was a traveling preacher. He walked from Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina, helping build churches and spent many nights in the homes of strangers.

Lighthouse is taken from the only lasting church their father built and pastored, and the name of that church is True Light.
