The Liberty County Board of Assessors reminds residents about key property tax programs and deadlines for 2026. Don’t miss your chance to take advantage of these opportunities to save on your property taxes. The deadline for all applications and returns is April 1, 2026.
Property tax returns
What: File a property tax return if you’ve purchased, sold, or made improvements to your property in 2025.

Homestead exemption

Conservation use value assessment (CUVA)

Forest Land Protection Act (FLPA)
