Blood drives coming to area
Placeholder Image
The American Red Cross has said blood supplies across the state have been severely low for several weeks, and many of the mostly commonly needed blood types are at or below a day's supply.
One blood donation can help save up to three lives.
All donors who give blood by Feb. 29 will be able to enter a drawing to receive flowers for a year.
Drives that have been scheduled in our area include:
Liberty County: Hinesville
Feb. 15: 1-6 p.m., Liberty Regional Medical Center, 462 E. G. Miles Pkwy
Feb. 19: 2-7 p.m., First Presbyterian Christian Academy, 308 E. Court Street
March 5: 2-6:30 p.m., Joseph Martin Elementary School, 1000 Joseph Martin Rd.
Bryan County: Pembroke
March 20: 2-7 p.m., Pembroke City Hall, 160 N. Main Street
