Hinesville participates in the Georgia Municipal Association’s workers compensation and Georgia Interlocal Risk Management Agency property and liability programs, which recently reimburse city departments with a no-match grant for purchases up to $6,000 per program for needed equipment.

The city Police Department purchased a video camera for a patrol vehicle, and the Fire Department purchased a hydraulic pump, pictured in foreground, that powers the Jaws of Life for extrication rescues.
