A fire that broke out Feb. 20 at Walden Farms in Long County is believed to be a case of arson, Long County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Tom Sollosi said.
In that fire, approximately 70 acres were burned along with several structures and vehicles.
The farm, which is adjacent to the intersection at Smith Berry Road and Highway 196, is owned by Alonzo Walden.
Sollosi said that a reward of $10,000 is being offered for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of whoever set the blaze.
Anyone with information should call the Georgia Forestry Commission at 800-428-7337 or the LCSO at 545-2118.
