A Walthourville home was damaged, but no one injured Sunday night as flames spread quickly through the single-story home in the 2400 block of Shaw Road.

Walthourville Police Lt. Wade Long was the first to arrive on scene after the 7 p.m. report and said he encountered heavy smoke coming from the attic of the home. The occupant, who has not been identified, reportedly was not home at the time.

The home reportedly one several homes clustered together for the same family.

Long said three men entered the home for an unknown reason, but were ordered out by the officer, who said the flames were starting to spread.
