Fire in Long County is intentional

A prescribed fire covering an estimated 295 acres is burning today on Fort Stewart in Long County, accroding to the Georgia Forestry Commission Office in Ludowici.
The intentional burn fire is about a mile east of Beard's Creek Bridge on Highway 144. The prescribed burn is being conducted by Fort Stewart Forestry to reduce hazardous forest fire fuels.
Smoke from the fire is being noticed primarily in Long and Liberty counties.
