A Monday afternoon fire heavily damaged a Gum Branch structure that serves as a residence and a business.
Liberty County Fire Station No. 15 Capt. Charles Helton said the blaze spread quickly through the wooden-framed residence, which also was used as a transport business.
The fire began shortly after 3:30 p.m. No one was in the building at the time.
