Dec. 13: Unlawful dumping — The owners of the Family Dollar Store on E.G. Miles Parkway called police to complain about someone using their company Dumpster to dispose of personal trash.
Stalking — A woman told officers she received anonymous texts from June through November at the rate of one to two texts per month from someone unknown. In December, the texts started to come in at least once a day saying, “I will ruin your marriage” and “I will make your life miserable.”
Criminal trespass — A burglar was nearly caught in the act when a homeowner heard a noise and went to the back of his house to investigate. The homeowner said he was in the front yard with some friends when he heard the noise and ran to the backyard to see what was going on. He said he saw a man in a gray hoodie attempting to open his back door. He yelled at the man, who ran into the woods toward Pioneer Road.
