Homicide victim identified

The victim of an apparent homicide Saturday night has been identified as Terry Floyd, a teenager who lived in Lake George, according to Liberty County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Dennis Davis.

The captain said the victim was found stabbed on Cook Road. He was unresponsive.

Authorities are investigating a death in Fleming as a possible homicide, according to Liberty County Coroner Reginald Pierce.

He said a report of an assault was called in about 11:20 p.m. Saturday. When deputies arrived at the address in the 400 block of Cook Road, one man was dead.

The victim’s name has not been released and Pierce said he is waiting for an autopsy by a state crime lab before saying the cause of death.
