HPD and Long County deputies issue BOLOs

The Hinesville Police Department and the Long County Sheriff’s Office have issued “be-on-the lookout” requests for two suspects wanted in connection with different crimes in their respective communities.

Hinesville Det. Al Cato has issued a BOLO for Demetrius Carlton James for his alleged involvement in theft by taking (automobile), a felony. The warrant was issued through the city of Walthourville Police Department.

James’ last known address is 95 Guyton Lane in Allenhurst. He is described as a 21-year-old black male who stands about 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds.

Anyone with information on James should call the Walthourville Police Department at 368-6525 or 911.

In Long County, Deputies Mark Hall and Tom Sollosi have issued a BOLO for Thomas Jefferson, who is wanted for his alleged involvement in an aggravated assault and armed robbery incident.

According to Hall, the incident occurred at around 2 p.m. Nov. 28 when Jefferson reportedly broke into a house belonging to his child’s grandmother at Beaver Hill Mobile Home Park. Jefferson allegedly broke the back door, wielded a knife during an altercation and stole a cell phone before leaving the residence.
