A man has died from complications stemming from a shooting last month in Liberty County.
Liberty County Sheriff Steve Sikes said Brad Covington who was shot during an Oct. 24 altercation at a home on Homlestown Road. Covington was taken to Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, where he died at 6 a.m. Monday, Sikes said.
Nathaniel Greene has been charged in connection with the shooting. He is in the Liberty County Jail without bond on seven counts of aggravated assault and one count of third-degree cruelty to a child in which Greene reportedly allowed a child to witness a forcible felony crime. Also, a warrant for possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies was issued against him.
Greene's chargest may be elevated pending the results of an autopsy, Sikes said.
