Long County inmate escapes

A Long State Prison inmate escaped Tuesday, while on a work detail in Jesup.
According to information provided by the Long County Sheriff's Department, Jesse James Holliday, 35, escaped yesterday afternoon while working at a recycling center in Jesup.
Holliday is a white male who is 5 foot, 10 inches tall and weighs around 210 pounds.
Holliday was serving a three year sentence for first degree forgery that started on Aug. 21.
According to the LCSD, as of 9 this morning, Holliday had not been apprehended.
"Even though this man has a conviction of forgery, people still need to regard him as dangerous. If they see him or hear anything about him, we want them to call us immediately," Long County Sheriff Cecil Nobles said.
