LUDOWICI — An Ellabell man, wanted on incest charges in Bryan County, was picked up by the Ludowici Police Department last Friday night.
LPD Investigator Sal Genualdi said an anonymous tip to the department reported Jerry Lee Graves, 45, was at a residence in Ludowici.
A criminal warrant for Graves arrest had been filed in Bryan County on Feb. 25, charging him with incest, involving a 15-year-old relative.
At around 9:40 p.m. on Friday, Genualdi and several other local officers surrounded a residence at the Backdoor Café Trailer Park, as Graves and three other men were cooking out.
After securing the area, the officers detained Graves, informed him they were detaining him for the Bryan County warrant and took him to the Long/Ludowici Jail, where he was held until he was transferred Bryan County.
According to an incident report from the Bryan County Sheriff’s Department, Graves allegedly began molesting the girl when she 10 and continued doing so for five years.
According to LPD Chief Richard Robertson, on Saturday Bryan County deputies picked up Graves taking him back for trial.
