Reports filed with the Ludowici Police Department the week of May 26 through June 2 included:

May 31

Theft — Officers were dispatched to a South McDonald Street home in reference to a stolen purse.The complainant said her black purse was taken from the cargo area of her pickup sometime between noon and 6 p.m. The victim said she was unsure of how much money was in the purse or where she was when it was taken. A search of the area did not turn up anything.

May 30

Harassment — A woman went to the station to report that her daughter was receiving unwanted phone calls from the complainant’s ex-husband. The ex-husband was allegedly telling the daughter to do things to herself in an attempt to get himself back into the complainant’s life. The complainant also said the daughter had attempted suicide a few days earlier as a result of the ex-husband’s interference. The complainant was told how to get a restraining order through the court system.

Domestic dispute — A complainant walked up to the Ludowici Police Department and said his stepfather was jumping on his mother at a Hendrix Street address. When officers arrived, the man said they were being evicted the next morning and his wife lost her temper and began throwing things around the house, breaking dishes and other items. The man said the woman did not get physical with him and no marks were observed on him. There were also no physical marks on the woman, who became the suspect. She was arrested for criminal trespass under the Family Violence Act for the domestic altercation and destruction of property. She later posted bond.
