GLENNVILLE — A man has been charged with felony murder in connection with a fatal March 19 shooting at The Social Club, 10451 Highway 23, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
The Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office asked the GBI to investigate the shooting death of Travis Jermaine Hankerson, which GBI Special Agent in Charge Cathy Sapp said occurred shortly before 2 a.m. March 19.
As a result of the investigation, Tommy Laron Cooper was arrested and charged with murder, felony murder, armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
An autopsy of Hankerson was conducted by the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office.
