Man killed in motorcycle wreck in Fleming

Ronald M. Harker, 72, of Hinesville was identified as the man who was killed in a motorcycle accident shortley after 4 p.m. Friday on Leroy Coffer Highway in Flemington.

According to GSP Trooper Robert Barry, Harker, formerly of Ohio, was traveling East on a 2001 Harley Davidson Motorcycle.  Barry said the man was riding behind a Ford Expedition driven by a Hinesville man, which began to slow down due to traffic on the road.  
Harker was unable to stop in time and slammed into the back of the Explorer. He was ejected from the motorcycle and hit the pavement.  Barry said the Harker was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident in under investigation. 

Services for Harker are from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Burial will be private.
