Businesses along Midway's Butler Avenue will have a customer appreciation day to benefit the Midway Fire Department from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 12.
The fire department will present safety information. The Liberty County Humane Society will present safety tips and pet care. There will be a fish fry from 1-5 p.m., and refreshments, hot dogs, funnel cakes, etc. will be available. Raffles will be held and all proceeds will benefit the Midway FD.
The East Liberty County American Legion will have a flag retirement ceremony at 5 p.m. Donna Jackson and Redeemed will perform, with Mark Downs at the piano at 11 a.m.
