Liberty County Superior Court Chief Judge David Cavender sworn in Alexis Smith as a new assistant district attorney Monday at the courthouse.
Atlantic Circuit District Attorney Tom Durden recently hired Smith.
Cavender swore Smith into the State Bar of Georgia in July 2012. Smith, who is a native of West Virginia, has been living with her husband in Midway for more than two years.
