The Hinesville Police Department and Liberty County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the shooting of a Hinesville man early Sunday morning.

HPD Detective Jeff Luie said the man, who has not been identified, was confronted by several men on Woody Court shortly after 5 a.m. 

The man was shot once in the right shoulder. He was transported to Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, where he is expected to recover.
