Hinesville swore in a group of recently hired police recruits on April 8 and start training on April 9. At the ceremony were, from left, Police Chief George Stagmeier, recruits Roger Reed, Brandon Calhoun, Kevin Zieran, Michael Dye, Brittany Grant, April DeShields and Alexander Shirah, and Mayor Jim Thomas. The new officers are attending the 408-hour basic law enforcement course at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center Regional Police Academy in Savannah.
