The Riceboro and its volunteer fire department will host a fire safety program on Saturday, March 15, at the youth center.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by the program from 9-noon.
The program is to ensure that families are made aware of fire safety procedures, and what to do in emergencies. Along with the different fire agencies, there will be speakers from the gas and electric utilities giving fire related facts that need to be remembered. They will also answer questions.
The fire department will also schedule appointments with residents for home safety inspections, along with smoke detector installation, if residents want or need them.
