A Ludowici discount store reportedly was robbed Sunday by two armed men, according to authorities.
Ludowici Police Department Investigator Diannia Duncan said that at 10:15 p.m. Sunday, two men entered the Dollar General on Highway 84 as the store’s manager was closing. Duncan said that the two men, who were armed with handguns, made the manager go to the back of the store and take out all of the money that was in the safe.
Duncan said that the manager said the men left the store on foot once they gathered the money. Approximately $1,800 was taken.
The store manager told authorities that the two men were black, wearing all black attire and had thin builds.
The two men are considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with any information on the robbery should call the LPD at 545-2222.
