The Long County Sheriff’s Office recently bought rifles with confiscated funds.

On March 24, the Sheriff’s Office took delivery of 18 M-4 patrol rifles from Tactical Resolve LLC, a Tattnall County firearms manufacturer.

Sheriff Craig Nobles said his office used confiscated drug money and other forfeited funds to buy the weapons.

He said the rifles will give Long County deputies the ability to respond to active shooters and other crises.

The owners of Tactical Resolve, Rob and Abby Walker, delivered the weapons.
