• Making a false report/giving false information, Independence Place Drive
A man reported a hit-and-run. The complainant said he called police directly after someone cut him off as he was turning right into his neighborhood, causing him to swerve into the curb and damage his vehicle.
However, upon examination, the officer noticed that while the surrounding pavement was wet with rain, the space under the car was dry. The officer also noticed the engine was cold. After the officer questioned him, the man admitted to lying and said the incident actually occurred two days earlier.

Feb. 2

• Strong arm robbery/burglary, 184 West Oglethorpe Highway.
A man was sleeping on a sofa at about 11:30 p.m. when he said he awoke to the sound of people coming through a window. The man said one of the two men, who were wearing ski masks, said, "Hey bro," and punched the victim in the eye, knocking his head back and damaging a wall. Although he said he fought back, the suspects took the victim's wallet and car keys. They also grabbed a TV at one point but left it. When the responding officer searched the area, he found the man's wallet. The man claimed he was missing $600.

• Criminal trespass, Sandy Run Road.
At 1 p.m., a Riceboro woman said she awoke from a nap and heard sounds at her back door and her dog barking. She got up and saw an unknown man in her living room. The suspect fled and was last seen running toward Barrington Ferry Road through the woods. The woman said she didn't notice anything missing.

Feb. 4

• Stalking, Talmadge Road.
A woman reported her ex-boyfriend, who was just released from jail and ordered not to have contact with her, was threatening her. The woman said her ex-boyfriend sent her pictures of himself standing next to her grandmother's casket, pictures of their children and messages professing his love for her. The ex-boyfriend attempted to call the woman while an officer was taking the report.

• Theft, Limerick Road
A woman reported a bicycle stolen from her carport for the second time in two weeks. She said the bike is a silver 20 inch BMX Mongoose.
