A 3-year-old Fort Stewart girl was struck by a vehicle outside a Hinesville hotel at a birthday party Saturday night.
The child, who was not identified, sustained non-life threatening injuries when she was struck after stepping off of a curb in the parking lot of the Country Inn and Suites on East Gen. Stewart Way around 7:30 p.m. She was walking with a parent and was hit when she got loose and stepped off the curb as a vehicle passed, according to Hinesville Police traffic investigator Jeremy Craig.
The child was flown to Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah. She sustained a bruised lung, lost a tooth and had a swollen leg, according to Craig.
