Two teens injured in wreck

According to Georgia State Patrol Trooper SFC Thornell King, a woman, identified as Trenicia Hawes, 19, of Fort Stewart, suffered sever head injures in a wreck Saturday afternoon. The trooper said she was driving north on Old Hines Road in Flemington in a 1998 Nissan Altima around 2 p.m. with her 13-year-old nephew when the car ran off the lightly traveled, dirt road and hit a tree on the passenger side.  King said the younger teen reported another vehicle passed them, but he could not tell whether Hawes was forced off the road. Hawes was flown by LifeStar to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. King said she has been in and out of consciousness at the hospital. The younger teen was taken to Winn Army Community Hospital on Fort Stewart his condition is unknown. His named has not been released.
